Getting Started Is Quick & Easy

See how easy it is to get setup with Roobarb Today, from simple steps to in-depth guides.

Step 1: Choose Your Number

When you first sign up for Roobarb, you’ll need to choose at least one phone number.

This is a virtual number, which means you’re not tied to a physical phone line. Instead, you can customise exactly what happens when someone calls it.

With VoIP, you can:

  • Create call queues
  • Offer menu options to callers
  • Play automated messages
  • And much more

The possibilities are flexible and designed to work around your business.

Step 2: Add Your Users

A user is any member of your business who will be using the Roobarb phone system.

Because your number is virtual, multiple calls can happen at the same time across different users in your team.

Your Roobarb account is fully flexible, so you can:

  • Add new users whenever your team grows
  • Remove users when needed

Step 3: Register Your Users

Once your users have been added, they’ll need to connect their account to a device such as a desk phone or mobile.

Step 4: Create Your Call Routes

Once your numbers and users are ready, the next step is to set up your call routes.

Call routes tell the system what should happen when someone calls your number.

You can configure things like:

  • Greeting messages
  • Caller menu options
  • Voicemail routing
  • Call queues and forwarding

Everything is fully customisable, so you can adjust your setup anytime to suit your business.

Step 5: Set Up Mailboxes

Each user can have their own personal voicemail mailbox, which needs to be created and linked to them.

To create a mailbox:

  1. Go to Config → Mailboxes
  2. Click Add Mailbox

After creating the mailbox, go to the user’s profile and assign the mailbox to that user.

This allows users to call the group mailbox number and listen to their own voicemail messages.

Step 6: Choose Your Caller ID

You can choose which number from your account is displayed as your Caller ID when making calls.

This can be configured directly from your dashboard.

Step 7: Start Making Calls

You’re all set! You can now make and receive calls using your Roobarb phone system.

We recommend testing your setup within your team first to make sure everything works the way you want.

And remember, your system is fully customisable, so you can update your call routes, users, and settings at any time!
